Crispy Prosciutto Chips

This easy snack recipe makes use of the famous Italian cured meat–Prosciutto. Prosciutto is often sold in very thin slices, so all you need to do is bake them to crisp perfection. This recipe can be customized. Simply replace the spices listed here with your choice of seasoning mix, and you can have these chips in your favorite snack flavor.

Ingredients:

170 g Prosciutto, thinly sliced
½ tsp, ground black pepper
½ tsp cayenne pepper
½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 177°C (350°F).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or use a cooking spray to prevent the prosciutto from sticking.
  3. Lay the prosciutto slices evenly on the pan.
  4. Season the prosciutto slices with spices to your liking.
  5. Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until crispy.
  6. Transfer the prosciutto slices onto a cooling rack, and let cool.
  7. Break into smaller, bite-sized pieces and enjoy.
